Koi Breeding

Marugen Koi Farm – Singapore’s very own Boutique Japanese Koi Breeding Farm

As Japanese koi breeders at Marugen Koi Farm, our objective is to breed Japanese kois that can achieve standards and qualities as close as possible to that of high quality Japanese kois that are bred and farmed in Japan, and hence able to offer koi lovers in Singapore the next best alternative and opportunity to view and select their favourite Marugen Koi Farm bred Japanese kois; offsprings of parent kois (oyagois) from renowned Japanese koi breeding farms, at more affordable and reasonable pricing.

Koi breeding is indeed a lot of hard work, and the koi farmers at Marugen Koi Farm Singapore dedicates a lot of their time to the different stages in the breeding process, from investing and selecting the right parent kois (oyagois), spawning the chosen pairs, caring for the fertilized eggs and the newly hatched baby koi fries, raising the baby fries, and culling the fries so that only the best koi fries will have ample space to grow and develop well. However, the hard work is often paid off, when Marugen Koi Farm sees these tiny little baby koi fries develop and blossom into beautiful lovely swimming Koi jewels in our customers’ ponds.

Marugen Koi Farm focuses on breeding the Gosanke varieties namely Kohaku, Taisho Sanke and Showa Sanshoku, as well as the Non Gosanke varieties, such as Karashigoi, Ochiba Shigure, Chagoi, Soragoi, Benigoi, Hi Utsuri, Karashigoi, Shiro Utsuri, Kinginrin Shiro Utsuri, Matsuba, and Kujaku, offering koi hobbyists with a wide choice of koi varieties available for sale in Singapore at Marugen Koi Farm.
